You get three attempts at each question on our tests, and your score is calculated as a percentage of all attempts at the questions (not the total number of questions). If you fail a test, it's not immediately possible to take it again.
If you fail to achieve a passing grade on a short course, please write to support@futurelearn.com. The Support team will be able to reset your score.
If you fail an ExpertTrack course, you will be able to retake your test 8 hours after your most recent attempt.
Here are some things to bear in mind about resetting a test score:
- The Support team can only reset your score a limited number of times, so please take extra care on your second attempt.
- There is no time limit on taking a course test.
- It's only possible to reset a test score if you have failed the course overall - if you have failed a single test but passed the course, you will not be able to take that test again.
