Study UK will run from 00:00 UTC on 11 October 2021 until 23:59 UTC on 25 February 2022
What is a digital upgrade?
A digital upgrade gives you:
- Unlimited access to the course for as long as it exists on FutureLearn - no time limits or deadlines
- Access to tests if there are any
- A digital-only certificate if you complete at least 90% of course steps and, if the course includes tests or scored assessments, achieve an overall score at least 70%.
How many free digital upgrades can I claim as part of the Study UK campaign?
Each eligible learner is entitled to one free digital upgrade in total.
What is a digital certificate?
A digital certificate is a permanent web page, with a unique address, so you can easily add it to your LinkedIn profile, CV or resumé, and share it with friends or employers.
Digital certificates are displayed on your FutureLearn profile, and you can adjust this in Your achievements.
You can also download a PDF of your certificate from your FutureLearn profile, which you can share, or print yourself.
Can I upgrade a course I've already taken?
If you have taken one of our courses and your access to that course has expired, you will not be able to claim your Study UK upgrade on there.
In some cases, a new run may be available for you to join and upgrade. Otherwise, please select a different course to redeem your free digital upgrade.
What if I want a printed certificate?
If you have earned a certificate on your chosen course, you can download it as a PDF from your FutureLearn achievements and print it yourself.
Please note - eligible learners who have received their digital upgrade cannot also purchase a printed certificate for the same course.
However, you can still pay to upgrade other FutureLearn courses and earn printed certificates for these – find a course to start now. You can also share the link to your digital certificate with others.
Why can't I verify my identity?
Learners who have received their digital upgrade as part of the British Council’s Study UK campaign won’t be offered the ability to verify their identity.
