What happens if I cannot complete my microcredential within the timeframe provided?

Futurelearn and our university/ industry partners try very hard to support you through your studies and in some instances can offer extensions, or a deferral to the next run of the course. These are provided on a case by case basis and at the discretion of the partner. 

If you would like to request an extension/deferral to the next run of the course please email [e-mail] from the email address linked to your FutureLearn account confirming:

• The name of the microcredential you would like to defer/request an extension for
• Whether you have a funded place on the microcredential. (If you or an organisation have paid for your seat via the checkout page then you do not have a funded place)
• The reason for your deferral/extension request - please include anything you feel is appropriate

Please note we are only able to request a deferral for you to the next available microcredential course start date, and that you may only be able to defer once.
