When you join an ExpertTrack, you automatically receive a 2-day free trial period. You can cancel at any time during the trial period and no payment will be taken from your account.
At the end of the 2-day free trial, you will be charged your first monthly subscription fee. You can find the exact time and date your trial ends in your order confirmation email (titled 'Thanks for subscribing to this ExpertTrack').
Unless you cancel your subscription during the trial period, FutureLearn will take the first payment automatically as soon as your free trial period is over. We’ll take payment monthly thereafter.
Refunds for an ExpertTrack subscription
You will have a 2 day free trial. You will be charged once this free trial is over. This does not affect your right to claim a refund within the 14 day cooling off period.
Who is eligible for a refund on an ExpertTrack?
Refunds or cancellations can only be issued for an ExpertTrack subscription payment if:
- you have requested it within the 14 day cooling off period which begins on the day you first accessed the ExpertTrack (not the first day you paid for the ExpertTrack);
- you have not completed (or attempted to complete) any tests; and
- you have not received a Certificate of Achievement or Statement of Participation (whether digital or physical) on the course.
To avoid being charged the subscription fee for Subscription Access, you must cancel your Subscription Access before the Free Trial Period ends.
If you wish to cancel your ExpertTrack subscription and claim a refund (if eligible under the above conditions) you must write to us at either support@futurelearn.com or orders@futurelearn.com to make your request, within 14 days of your sign-up for the ExpertTrack subscription.
Refunds for ExpertTracks- renewal charges
We do not offer refunds to payments made on any monthly subscription plan for Subscription Access to ExpertTrack courses. Your subscription will automatically renew on a monthly basis unless you cancel your subscription through the Account area, or until you complete all courses within your Subscription Access to the ExpertTrack.
You can find more information in our refund policy.
Managing your ExpertTrack subscription
Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel your subscription through the Account area. Your subscription will automatically cancel when you successfully complete (receive all the certificates for) all the courses in the ExpertTrack. More information on this can be found in What is an ExpertTrack and how does it work?
Your subscription will not renew if your account is suspended or you are removed from the course by FutureLearn.
You can also find more information in our article about managing and cancelling your subscription.
When I will be charged for my ExpertTrack?
When you join an ExpertTrack you will receive an email titled 'Thanks for subscribing to this ExpertTrack' stating the exact date and time your free trial expires, and when you will be charged unless you've completed/cancelled it before then. Please note that the time shown in that email is in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
