You get three attempts at each question on our tests, and your score is calculated as a percentage of all attempts at the questions (not the total number of questions). If you fail a test, it's not immediately possible to take it again.
If you fail to achieve a passing grade on a short course (including courses in an ExpertTrack), you will be able to retake your test 8 hours after your most recent attempt.
To do so please go to the Summary page of the test step, which is the final part of the test.
From there, click on the square labelled 'End' in the progress bar underneath the title of the test.
On that page, you should see the option to reset your score, which will then allow you to take the test again in 8 hours.
Here are some things to bear in mind about resetting a test score:
- You will only be able to reset a test score on a test on which you have scored less than 70%, as that is our minimum passing grade per test.
- There is no time limit on taking a course test.
