This article explains how to look for a new course to take on FutureLearn. For advice on finding a course you've already joined, please see How to get into a course you've joined on FutureLearn.
How to search for a course
It's fair to say we've got quite a lot of courses to choose from at FutureLearn. Here's how to find the perfect course for you:
- Click on the word 'Subjects' in the top navigation bar of the site and choose a subject area that interests you.
- Browse our courses on our course listings page. To narrow it down, you can use the filters on the side of the page to search by subject, pricing model and availability.
- Search for a keyword using the magnifying glass in the top right hand corner of the page.
Join to start now
Once you've found a course you like, you can either join with the (free) Limited Access option or upgrade. You can read more about the difference between the two options on the Limited Access, upgrades and premium courses article.
Join to start later
Some courses which run frequently may list several start dates in the section titled 'When would you like to start?' - if you'd like to join a later run instead just click 'join' next to the relevant date.
If there are no details on when a course will run next, you may be able to add it to your Wishlist. For advice on adding a course to your Wishlist, please see I can't see where to join a course - what can I do?
Sign up to as many courses as you like
There is no limit on the number of courses you can take.
Keep track of your courses
You can check which courses you're signed up for and their start dates in Your Learning.
You can keep tabs on your Wishlist by choosing 'Wishlist' from the menu that appears when you click on your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen.
